Abstract

The Anetivka 1 site was discovered in 1978 by the Black Sea region expedition headed by V.N. Stanko. The site is located on the western outskirts of the Anetivka village (Domanivka district, Mykolaiv Region, Ukraine) on the right bank of the Bakshala River.

Anetivka 1 was interpreted as a two-layered site with two chronologically and genetically similar complexes. The article deals with the flint complex from the site excavations of 1981. Cores, flakes, blades, debitage, scrapers, burins, micropoints, points, retouched blades and flakes and other tools are presented in the collection. The carinated end-scrapers, micropoints, produced with abrasive retouch (micropoints of Sahaydak-Muralivka type) and specific retouched burins with the transverse burin spall are specific to the industry. The tools typical for the Epigravettian industries (first of all backed microblades and micropoints) are absent in the collection. The flint inventory from excavations of 1981 is attributed to the Epi-Aurignacian industry.
