Attic Black-Glazed Pottery from Olbia Pontica: A Study of the Excavation Area “P-1”
Abstract
This article presents the results of archaeological research on black-glazed pottery from the “Peredmistia 1” area of Olbia Pontica, excavated during the 2018 and 2021 seasons. The study examines 203 pieces of Attic black-glazed ceramics, focusing on their typology, chronology, and contextual significance. Given the challenges posed by the ongoing war in Ukraine, and the inability to work directly with the material, the analysis relies on excavation reports and photographic documentation, shedding light on the role of these ceramics in the cultural and economic landscape of Olbia Pontica.
